Traditional MLCCs often fall short of today's requirements for higher temperatures and capacitance. In contrast, X6S/X6T MLCC offers higher capacitance and can operate at elevated temperatures, better meeting the market needs.

With advancements in computing and internet technology, graphics cards are being used in more various applications. This trend requests the computer provide higher performance and computing power. Historically, the design of graphics cards evolved from using electrolytic capacitors to tantalum capacitors, and now increasingly rely on MLCCs. Graphics cards using tantalum capacitors often suffer from overclocking and stability issues, because the graphics cards’ stability decreases when the number of tantalum capacitors increases. By using a set of MLCCs (0805-X6S/X6T -22μF-6.3V) to replace a single tantalum capacitor (330μF-6.3V), graphics cards can significantly improve its stability and pass rigorous performance tests, reducing the likelihood of crashes or visual glitches.

 

A single mid- to high-end graphics card can utilize up to 2,000 capacitors, with temperatures inside the case reaching approximately 85°C. X6S/X6T capacitors meet these challenges by operating reliably at high temperatures while maintaining system stability and suppressing noise from high-speed data transfers, ensuring smooth graphics card operation.
